Library

General

The library is staffed by a librarian and volunteers.  The library is open every morning from 7:30 to12:30 and some afternoons.  Books are arranged in four sections according to age/grade level for easy access by students.  Please reference attachment for library schedule.

Students

St. John's students have a block time to visit the library once a week. Students may check out books for a one week time period.  All Books are to be returned the following week with the exception of books not finished in which the librarian will renew at his/her discretion. Students are charged .05 fine per day for overdue books.  All books MUST be returned NO later than 2 weeks before school closing. There will be a charge of the cost of the book if not returned.

Donations

Library is always accepting donations of hard cover books and funds.   
Many students choose to donate a hard cover book of their choice to the library in honor of their birthday.  Others celebrate their birthdays by asking each birthday guest to bring a hard cover book to their birthday party.  Then, the books are donated to the library in both students names.  A donation label is affixed to each donated book.  A list of books which are currently needed is attached....some of which are accepted in paperback form.  This list will be updated throughout the year.
