JULIE ROSSI

Principal

Dear SJE Community,

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction to you as the incoming principal of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic School. Having been received into the Catholic faith at Saint John the Evangelist this community holds a special place in my heart. I am honored to join you in your unwavering commitment to educating children in the Catholic faith while ensuring academic excellence.

I have enjoyed working in education for over 20 years. During that time I was fortunate to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and their families with various backgrounds.  I served Catholic schools for 14 years in various roles as a teacher in both elementary and middle school, athletic director, assistant principal, and principal. Most recently, I served as a principal at a charter school. I completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Behavioral Sciences from Metropolitan State University and earned a Master of Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.

The following principles guide my leadership philosophy:

• Have integrity and build trust. Integrity starts with complete transparency which leads to opportunities for growth and promotes a solution-based culture.

• Be collaborative. Collaboration allows for a broader view of an organization, builds trust, engages stakeholders in goal setting, and fosters positive relationships.

• Set and communicate a clear vision, strategy, and priorities. Significant evidence shows that schools that have a clear vision, established strategies, and focused priorities outperform competitors.

My commitment to you is to provide a Christ-centered environment that forms each child intellectually, morally, and socially. I look forward to walking with each of you in continuing to cultivate critical thinking and active faith in our students so they gain the necessary skills for a meaningful life and experience God’s love.

Peace,

Julie Rossi
